Post Your Action Plan For Today’s Ezine & You MIGHT Snag $100

Hello,

Marlon here.

Post your action plan for implementing today’s ezine content as a comment and I’ll pick one to snag 100 bucks announced next Saturday in my ezine. NO purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. Chances of winning depend on the number of entrants but it’ll probably be 25 -35.  Funds payed via paypal only.

Entries will be judged on:

1.  Intent

Is your intent to win the contest or to actually apply the steps in a sincere, useful way to your life or business?

2.  Presentation

You can write, do an mp3 OR do a video.  You are judged on the effectiveness of your presentation and the value to OTHERS who read your post, listen to your audio or watch your youtube video (or wherever else you wanna post it).

3.  Application

We’ll judge responses on how effectively you apply the method.  Effectiveness means getting the intended result.

Deadline for posting:  Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. CST.

Winners to be announced in the ezine next Saturday.

IMPORTANT NOTE FROM MARLON:

I want you to READ this issue if you haven’t.  If you have, read it AGAIN. Do you understand it IS the keys to the kingdom?  Either you have an email list or you don’t.  Either you send them emails or you don’t.  Either your emails convert or they don’t.  Your list is the goose the lays the golden eggs.  It’s the secret to the Internet lifestyle.  No list = no freedom and no security because you always have to hustle hard for tomorrow’s dollar.  Now, your list building is part of the formula since you gotta replace the email addresses that go bad.  I ain’t sayin’ it’s all super easy.  Simple?  Yes.  Easy?  Not always.  You got Google slaps.  You got email delivery and other issues. But is it ALL freaking worth it so you can wake up in the morning, send out an email, have CASH in MINUTES that you SUCK OUT immediately with a Mastercard debit card from ANY ATM?  Well, you tell me.  If you don’t have a list, what IS your plan to GET one?  If you GOT a list, are you sending 3 emails a week and BUILDING your list proactively and aggressively?  IF you have your own products, do you have an affiliate program and are you promoting it?  If not, when and how?  Inquiring minds WANT to know!

Hello,

Marlon
here.

Another $100 CASH given away THIS ISSUE!

This
week’s article: The Power, Profits and Process of Email Marketing In 2010 (It Ain’t 1996 No Longer)

People forget the simplicity of this business in the big picture.

Every day I live “the dream.” I wake up. Go to my computer. Punch out an email. And have cash within minutes in my Paypal account that I can suck out when I drive down to Starbucks for a morning whatever.

But it’s not quite as simple as it was in 1996. So today I talk about a few changes, a plan B, things that are critical to watch out for.

You’re going to LOVE what I reveal today. And if not, I’ll refund your money…oh yeah, I forget….you didn’t pay me anything for this. I do it because I’m such a kind, charitable person doing my part to bring world peace and to stop the flow of oil in the ocean…or not.

THE WINNERS!

Brian: $100 for posting first

1st – John – Weight plan — Snags “The Big Course”

2nd – Isobel – Build a new email list — $100 cash

3rd – Wayne Buckhanan – Increase subscriber base — Snags resell rights to Twitter Marketing

New $100 Cash THIS ISSUE:

Later today I’ll send out a link to my blog to post your response to this issue. I’m looking for you to apply ONE idea in the next week from this issue. Instructions in the email I’ll send out this afternoon.

Best
Wishes,

Marlon Sanders

P.S. While others only send you cool info during their product launches, I’m here week in and week out sending you great marketing information.

This is my service to you. You can repay me not only by using the information but also by spreading the word about my ezine. Every time I send you one of these issues I lose about 80 subscribers due to email bounces.

You can help me replace those 80 people by actively recommending MMM to your friends.

C. Main Article: The Power, Profits & Process of Email Marketing In 2010

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

When I started in this business in 1994 (more or less) and

went full time in 1996, I never dreamed I’d be writing

about the state of email marketing in 2010.

But here we go. There have been changes since “the old

days.” And I want to talk about what’s working right now,

today.

1. The Raw, Unabashed Power of Email Marketing

It’s still true.

You wake up in the morning. You check to see how many sales

you had overnight.

You type out an email. You hit send. Minutes later you have

money in Paypal. You drive to your local ATM and suck that

cash out you made minutes before using a Mastercard debit

card.

Honestly, does it GET any better than THAT?

Let’s say you’re not creative or you’re behind in creating a

product like I am with Traffic Dashboard (about SIX months

behind)….

You buy a valuable plr (private label rights) product and zap

it out to your list.

Money comes in. You can also promote an affiliate program

like mine that pays daily or weekly via Paypal.

Doesn’t get much better than that.

2. The Profits of Email Marketing

Just as true as it was back in 1996, your income depends on

your list. I wrote a phrase back in Amazing Formula that has

become very famous, “The money is in the list.”

Now, people have done every kind of variation and riff on that

statement imaginable. But it’s still true.

You got a list.

You got emails.

You got money in the bank.

List + Emails = Money

How much more of an equation do you need?

Some people want a model that isn’t email marketing based.

I really can’t see why.

It isn’t hard to write short emails. You don’t need to write

books like I do! I’m a writer at heart, so I like to write.

The cool thing about having a list is it really DOES give you

the ability to get money by clicking send.

3. The Process of Email Marketing

Now, this would be a really short ezine if it were all so cut

and dried and simple. So let’s get down to the nitty gritty….

a. Getting subscribers

Alas, we hit the great rub. All that talk of email marketing is

great. But I imagine if you talk to Aweber, you’d find out most

people with their service don’t have more than 1,000 subscribers.

There are several routes for putting people on your list.

Of course, there is pay-per-click. I predict a lot more marketers

will start using Yahoo and MSN.

The cool thing about Yahoo is you can run your campaign without

getting slapped every 6 months. They actually WANT your money!

What a concept.

Can you imagine sending out a postcard or direct mail piece and

having the mail delivery service in your country say, “I’m sorry,

we read your postcard (or letter) and we feel it needs more content

and links to even more content, and a blog, and videos…

And even then it may not be good enough for you but if it isn’t we

won’t tell you why other than in the most vague, general terms!

This JUST happened to several friends of mine with million dollar

businesses via a rather well-known online advertising source.

I’ll let you guess who it was.

In my opinion, the best source of subscribers is an affiliate

program. The reason is, you don’t get slapped.

As long as there are web sites, forums and blogs on the topic,

you should be able to work out affiliate arrangements, even if

they are informal.

If there are eyeballs to a page, you should be able to give

someone somewhere a split of the action for sending some of

those eyeballs your way.

The best guide I have to setting up an affiliate program is

in affiliatedashboard.com. I also cover the topic in Writer’s

Secret.

I’m moving all new sign ups to my affiliate program to a new

software program shortly. We have it almost all in place.

I think my affiliates will really love using it. Not sure what

I’m going to do about existing affilliates on the old program.

I don’t want people getting their links mixed up. That’s the

thing.

I think your affiliate software is more important today than

ever.

You can also get subscribers from banners and article marketing.

In some markets, it’s going to be difficult to get the volume

of subscribers you need from banners. In others, it will be

easy.

If you do article marketing in a big way, it can also work

for you. In Traffic Dashboard, I’m going to feature an interview

with Sean Mize who is a huge article marketer and builds his

whole list just from articles.

Fascinating stuff.

Believe it or not, the good ol’ fashioned viral ebook, ecourse

and brandable reports STLL work. No one teaches them anymore

because they aren’t new and exciting.

That doesn’t mean they don’t still work.

Writing an ebook or report, having your optin form in it and

selling reprint rights still works.

The bar is higher. You can’t write up crap and expect people to

promote it like the old days. But it still works.

If those people who have 1,000 on their list would start putting

out brandable pdf’s, viral ebooks and reports, selling reprint

rights and pushing an affiliate program for a product of their

own, I can almost guarantee you their list wouldn’t be 1,000

any longer.

If you can write problem-solving or results-getting content, you

can do this.

Another great way to build your list is with ad swaps to an email

capture page. We don’t know the future. There could be more

legal concerns with affiliate programs.

If there are, I think you move heavily towards doing ad swaps

to email capture pages where there is NO exchange of money in

any way.

No state taxes.

Less legal entanglement possibilies.

We aren’t at that point right now in my opinion. But I believe

you should always have a plan B in mind. I’ve done a few ad

swaps, not a lot.

A few of the folks on my list have complained about them even

though they were with marketers I like and respect like James

Jones, Jit, Jason Parker. I haven’t done one with Flads yet,

but I’m sure I will sometime.

I’ll probably do more in the future. It’s not a bad deal for

you. You get a nice, quality freebie. Does that suck so bad?

b. Getting email opened

Back in 1996 my open rates were 20% routinely. Now, they’re

8% to 12%, and I send tons more content than I did in 1996.

I’m taking the advice of James Jones from MicroNiche Finder

on this and sending all emails as html to track open rates,

as long as that doesn’t decrease my actual clicks.

I’m doing split testing on this currently.

The point is, by tracking open rates on every email, you

can really zero in on what subject lines your readers like

and don’t like.

c. Getting email delivered

You have to watch the bounce rate of your emails and ask your

service provider to investigate if your bounce rate goes up.

They claim the average email address only lasts for 6 months

now. If you don’t have enough new blood coming in, your

list can shrink.

New blood is critical.

My bounce rates are higher than I feel they should be. And it’s

another reason I’m at least LOOKING at other services. Although

you know, there’s probably nothing anyone can do about it.

I think I’m at a 7th of 1% every time I send an email. James

Jones is half that. And I can’t really explain that.

An email marketer complaining a little about their bounce rate

and unsubscribes. Imagine that! Heaven forbid….

d. Keeping unsubscribes in check

I wish email services made it easy to see your unsubscribes

in a glance. They don’t.

I’m thinking about moving my customer list to Lyris because

they have killer stats, including being able to see unsubscribes.

I think that in today’s environment, it’s very important to

watch your unsubscribes.

e. Watching your complain rate

For some STUPID reason, a few of my suscribers double FREAKING

Opt In THEN for some bizarre reason feel a need to click the

complain button or whatever it is in AOL ….

What? Because they didn’t like my subject line? Give me a

FREAKING break. I swear, they’re lucky I don’t have a ski

mask and a copy of the theme from Halloween!

Seriously, though. Complaints DO happen for reasons I can’t

possibly understand when you DOUBLE opt in to begin with. Geez.

OK. Enough ranting. Point is, watch that stuff. Fortunately,

my complaint rate is very low….probably because about the only

real work I do each week is spending 2 hours on my Saturday

morning pecking out this puppy to you.

f. Getting conversions

Let me guess. You’re sending people to a sales letter and they

aren’t buying.

Want a solution?

Get ‘em on your email list and send out emails 3x per week, if

not daily.

Remember, that email is only going to be good for 6 months on

average. So if you email once a month, you aren’t going to get

very far.

Now, send people videos, podcasts, blog posts and other things

to get them to buy.

If you’re a Promo Dashboard owner, I refer you to I think it’s

rows 5 and 5 where I cover conversions.

You can’t send people 3 paragraph emails that send people to

a 1 paragraph post on a blog and get sales consistently

unless you’ve got something really, really cheap or something

in scarce supply.

For the most part, you have to do a thorough job of selling

the benefits of what you got, presenting proof it works and

so forth.

People say, “Sales letters don’t work anymore.”

If that were true, Agora would be OUT of business. Agora is

a 200 million+ direct marketing machine operating both online

and offline.

If sales letters didn’t work, they’d be out of business.

But at the same time, I say sales letters are only one PIECE

of what I call “The Full Arsenal.”

I explain that in this video:

http://www.promodashboard.com/video

The contest at the end is NOT valid any longer.

But the CONTENT of the video is evergreen and if you haven’t

seen it, you need to watch it.

Alright boys and girls. There we go. It’s a wrap on this issue of

Marlon’s Marketing Minute.

I don’t know if you got any take aways from this or not. If

not, let me recap:

1. Email marketing STILL works, rocks and rules.

2. It isn’t as simple as it used to be.

3. Watch your unusbscribes, open rate and bounces like a hawk.

4. Give your money to Yahoo and MSN for ppc to build your list

and shy away from relying so much on that other company…you

know the one.

5. Affiliate marketing still rocks.

There are more legal issues to watch, no doubt.

6. Keep ad swaps in your hip pocket as a plan B.

Best wishes,

Marlon Sanders

  1. Hey Marlon,

Since I’m already creating almost 30 days of content to distribute all over the ‘net today’s MMM has prompted me to include the content in my autoresponder too (duh!).

So, I’m going to send out “best of three” each 3 days to my existing list and make sure the new incoming subscribers get a new message every day or two in the sequence.

The only additional activity this requires is to modify the call-to-action and get them posted into my AR.

    Thanks for the continued prompting!

[Wayne, that was creative. I'm impressed.]

  2. Marlon,

Thanks very much for choosing me as one of the winners last week :)

I’m working through the plan I put together then (100 subscribers by June 30) and I found a Giveaway in my niche that starts on June 12 so I’m including that in my promotion plan. I’ve never done a Giveaway before and I’m hoping it will take me well over the 100 subscribers I’m aiming for.

I’m also writing a series “30 Days of Positive Attraction” on my blog and I’ll turn that into an autoresponder series so people can sign up and follow along whenever they want, getting one email a day. Once it’s over I’ll record it and offer the mp3s (30 of them) plus transcripts as a product.

I want to do a different “30 Days of …” each month, putting the posts on my blog and in my autoresponder at the same time so readers can choose how to follow it, or they can come to the blog to comment and get the emails as well. I’ll be promoting or producing a new product each month that’s relevant to the “30 Days” and those promotions will also be on the blog and in the emails.

    Thanks for the inspiration!

  3. Hi, I’m an “oldtimer” newbie. I’ve been working the internet as a website developer since 1992 (commercicially since 2002). I’m good at building websites, not good at creating buyers.

BUT, since I’ve been motivated, I’m going to promote a segment of my site (www.houston-websites.com/tools_mmm/marketing.htm) – which is dedicated to selling Marlon Sanders’ products.

This site will not be ready for viewing until Tuesday June 8th. And, I won’t start my list building until after june 12th. At which time I plan to get all the details from MSN and Yahoo (cause you suggested it, without expressly excluding the other one).

Just so everyone knows why the delay in starting my “promoting”: I and my wife are going to Coushatta to gamble our lives away (or maybe about $50, the last time we only lost $39).

My plan is simple, build a list and direct them to my page that offers the various offerings of Marlon’s. Then, once I’ve got it moving, I plan to expand that program to target specific offerings.

I’m glad to see that you have excluded the one vendor in favor of the others. I’ve had nothing happen when I tried that one, thanks, even though it cost me a bit more than the “free” $75 that was offered to use them.

    Thank you.

    …..Bruce

  4. My plan is as follows:

    1. I go back to Rentacoder to get the programmer to fix a major flaw in my software product.

    2. I need to set up hosting for the website for the product, and add an optin form that takes the visitor directly to the demo version of the software after they enter their email address to be added to my list. Since it’s a software product I think the demo is the appropriate optin freebie offer, so I need to get started on that as soon as the programmer fixes my software product.

    3. I will need to set up an autoresponder for the optin form/list management (I have already signed up for a trial account with Mailchimp)

    4. I need to set up payment processing, probably through e-junkie

    5. I need to drive targeted traffic to my site – probably advertising in related ezines, writing and posting articles on ezinearticles, and forum posting in my niche.

    6. Keep repeating step 5!

  5. Hi Marlon,

Ugh I hate html. No worries – I’ll get over it :-)
Still working my tail off and trying to balance work and family who hates seeing me always at the computer – which makes it really difficult to do.

And I’m always getting interrupted. Short of running away from my own home I suppose I’ll have to invest in some duct tape for my office door. Raising kids is easier than caring for aging parents. Kids get it, aging adults don’t. Mention computers and you can literally see their eyes glaze over and they tune out – but only tune in again just enough to give you grief and find some problem they need immediate help with – like yesterday!

Sorry for the rant. I know internet marketing works, but am beginning to hate the imbalance and anger its causing. Wish I could get away with just a couple hours a day .

Just re-read your post on reducing your gradient. Guess I have no choice but to do it. Thank you for posting it.

So this weeks reduced gradient tasks are:

    1) finish squeeze page & opt-in code
    2) post 2 articles
    3) post 1 blog post with a special free trial to my readers
    4) somehow turn over my list of registered forum members into email list subscribers …
    5) Divide myself into an identical twin who can tackle the home fires while I visit Marlon at Starbucks.

    Thank you,
    Please keep the MMM coming.

[Angela, maybe find a place away from home you can go to and do dedicated work. You need to get your family to commit to your success at this. There are books about working at home that cover that topic. But what you might want to do is take your laptop to Starbucks, a bookstore or other place that has wifi and work there.]

  6. What I plan to do involves CPA offers. I plan to continue doing the same thing I have been doing, which is,…

    A. Sign up for various CPA offers via MaxBounty.
    B. Set up url campaigns on directcpv.com
    C. Use my url selection from keywords typed into google search, alexa, and quamcast sources.
    D. This is where a lot of people miss the mark. They get sloppy with letting unproductive campaigns run too long. So what you need to do instead is…pause the campaigns that are not producing and continue others. AS well asSet up five or six new campaigns every day. Then just rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat.

    That’s it.

So what am I going to do as a plan? Keep coming up with campaigns and dumping the unproductive ones. It doesn’t get much easier than that! :-)

    Thanks for the inspiration Marlon!

  7. Hi Marlon,

As it would happen, I recently lost 98% of my list when Gary Huynh shut down his ResponseBot autoresponder service. In order to overcome this obstacle, I’ve just launched a brand new lead generation engine to rebuild my list from scratch.

I wrote a short 20 page report that details step by step how to build a list and get paid to do it at the same time.

I’ve got a squeeze page set up with a subscribe form and subscribers don’t get the download until they confirm their subscription at which time they get a link to download the report in their email box.(I also send a second email with the link in case they don’t get the first one for some reason)

In my efforts to “Not worry about getting it perfect – just get it out there”, I left a few gaps in the report, but I tell my subscribers about it, and that I fill in the gaps in the follow up series they’ll get by staying subscribed.

Now, as they receive the followup messages, they’ll get the additional information they need to put it all together, as well as carefully chosen affiliate products that I feel will help them build their business faster.

By doing it this way, I hope to get more people to confirm their email address, and I also hope to retain more of my readership, as well as entice more of them to open and read my emails.

So far, I’m using forum marketing as my main traffic generation method, but I plan to buy solo ads in a couple of ezines as well as a co-reg JV with a couple of friends.

I’m also using Facebook with a little success, although I don’t have enough friends to be really effective.

Twitter has been a complete wash so far, but I’ve got my blog set up to auto post to Twitter so it may prove effective in the long run. We’ll just have to wait and see about that one.

PPC advertising on any site is way down on the list for now, but not ruled out completely.

My best method of getting subscribers will come this next week after I get the report set up in the RAP script and get a couple of friends with large membership sites to give it away for me to their subscribers.

JV’s like this have always been my favorite method of adding huge amounts of subscribers fast!

There’s more to the setup than what I’ve written here, but if I give away all my moves, people won’t have any reason to buy “Amazing Formula” (through my link, of course). ‘wink, wink’

Oh yeah, I’m also leaving comments like this on high PR blogs with links to my own blog where I have links to the squeeze page posted. As soon as I figure out how to do it, I’ll have a subscribe form right on my blog itself, then I just send traffic to the blog and pick up several more subscribers there.

Anyway, that’s my plan and what I’m doing to put it into action.

Thanks for all the great articles you send, Marlon. We do appreciate you more than we can say.

    Michael

[Michael, do you have a back up of your list? Plug it into icontact or one of the other programs that doesn't require double opt in.]

  8. Have The $25-A-Month AWeber Work For You
(A 40-year-old guy without a job launches an affiliate program)

Aren’t so smart as to create a product of your own? Don’t have money enough to buy resellers rights? Don’t have patience to read all the material on Internet marketing available? You can do what I do – choose free affiliate programs from http://www.getyourprofits.com (thank you, Marlon, for such an opportunity!).

I’ve launched my own website http://www.ainars.co.cc which has urls to Marlon Sanders’ products – the simplest one-page website you can ever think of – created all free by myself with the Kompozer program and running with free hosting.

Even if I can’t spare bucks to buy resources, I can make a start. I will find ONE DOLLAR to invest Wednesday. What can you get for $1 in business? Subscription to the Aweber e-mail autoresponder for the first month. Check it out on http://www.aweber.com! This will be the BIG JUMP for me as I’ll be able to build my mailing list! The business will be set going.

Of course, there are more things than this $1-product necessary for the business to roll successfully. When I get more bucks, I’ll subscribe to the Aweber web hosting Professional package for $5.50 a month (http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=6AizE&m=MZwlGGUe8tr&b=nEYjvQFkWLtbvoEU0.EpYQ). So I’ll be able to build a totally new website in line with Marlon’s advice, a website that opts-in visitors.

Then my concern will be to get traffic to that website. I’ll launch an advertising e-mail campaign using urls from http://www.getyourprofits.com . Then I’ll launch a campaign sending free pdf. stuff. I’ll hire e-lancers to write the pdf. stuff for me (for about $5) — http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=6AizE&m=MZwlGGUe8tr&b=8Pu3axM5dt2zqXIrfXQrSg. I’ll also advertise M. Sanders’ products on Google (a $10 activating fee), Yahoo, MSN, craigslists, other free advertising sites.

Next month, I’ll have to pay $19 for the Aweber autoresponder and $5.50 for the Aweber web hosting. My regular monthly expenses will be around $25 plus the Google advertising expenses.

Yet anyone can start with just $1 as I described!

Here is my affiliate business plan in short:
1)start using the Aweber autoresponder – build a mailing list, follow up th subscribers,
2)subscribe to the Aweber web hosting Professional package and build a new website with an opting-in mechanism and a blog,
3)launch an e-mail advertising campaign and a free pdf.-stuff campaign,
4)advertise M. Sanders’ products on Google, Yahoo, MSN, craigslists, forums and blogs,
5)read as much Marlon’s material as I can and get as much Saturday bonuses as I can,
6)buy the resellers rights for M. Sanders’ products.

Thank you for your educational material and the bonuses, Marlon!

  9. Marlon,
I’ve been following you for a long time and I have to say, you give CONTENT, tons of it and I’m amazed at how you’re able to do this and that my friend is what makes you so impressive. I’m now working on a site that will have over 300 – 400 subscribers in just a few weeks. I’ve hooked up with another internet marketer, did an interview and will launch the site next week. I’m looking forward to getting more great ideas from you. You’re the best Marlon. Keep up the GREAT work.

    Sincerely

    Dr. Carney

  10. My goal is to add 100 new subscribers to my email list. I am going to ask my uber cool web guy to fix my email sign up box to reflect the ethical bribe for signing up. Then also ask him to add some kind of pop up box.

I am also going to fix my report (ethical bribe) to have a sign up form in it. I have actually never thought of that idea or heard it talked about before.

I have a group of folks who have media ( tv shows, radio shows and magazines) I am going to do ad swaps with them this month.

[Hi, you're on a very good track with this. Ad swaps and a great, valuable freebie will build your list. Don't be afraid to make the freebie very high content value. Some people give away their best stuff. What you don't want to do is give away something of low value. People then feel that's the best you have to offer.]

  11. Marlon,

    Here’s what I’m doing.

1)Purchased Micro Niche finder from you and researched some niche ideas.

2)Found some PLR and created a WordPress blog in the chosen niche using the domain finder tool in Micro Niche finder.

3)Took the PLR articles, spun them to unique and original content and created a 20 page PDF report to give away. Also, set up the 20 pages as individual blog posts as well.

4)Added an Aweber hover capture page so people can get the free report.

5)distributed the PDF report to document distribution sites.

I got off my duff and created this in 1 afternoon. I haven’t seen any traffic or subscriber results yet, but I’ll report on it within a week.

I am also monetizing the blog and report with some clickbank amd affiliate product recommendations.

This is a really becoming a piece of cake and I’m starting to look at other niches and crank out more sites within this niche.

Now just have to rinse and repeat the process over and over again.

I won’t post the website here, but if you want proof of what I’ve done, you can email me and I’ll send a link.

    Thanks Marlon!

[Michael, that's a great start! Now, several ways to go from here. If you pick out 5 targeted forums and post 3 times a day in each, that's 15 posts a day ALL with your freebie in the sig line. Try to be the FIRST response to a lot of posts and ALSO post to heavily viewed threads. That's one idea. Or maybe you have others; There are lots of ways to promote. Forums can be fast, targeted traffic although posting does take time.]

  13. Marlon, wow… your challenge woke up some slumbering creativity from way, down, deep inside me. I have created a free gift tutorial as part of my response to your challenge.

My intent in your challenge has been to
simultaneously create something that would be useful to others while genuinely self-motivating and getting my email list started. It has been a LONG time coming, that’s for sure.

I have been procrastinating on building my email list for so long it’s actually embarrassing to say how much time has transpired and so I’ve decided to create a brand-new email list *this* week, and have it “live” by the end of the week… with no more excuses.

Creating this presentation that I’m giving away as part of the challenge was quite a job and it’s also my first powerpoint turned pdf. Marlon I appreciate you more than you will ever know – you have motivated me in so many ways (besides your generous offering of a cash prize) so that now I feel like I can’t let you or myself down.

I *must* do what I’ve promised myself and end my ridiculous procrastination for good. I *will* have a new list created with a sign-up form ready to deliver & up on the web by Saturday!

For the challenge, to add value as you suggested, I decided to create and give away a quick list-building tutorial called “Building Your First Email List” and then I’m going to follow through by actually DOING what I’m presenting inside the ebook — and all before the weekend.

Everything is in the presentation, including a cool site I found for people with a ZERO BUDGET… they host your ezine free and give you a free autoresponder account WITH tracking!

You can download the brand-new 9-page PDF tutorial here on a special page I just built for this purpose:

    http://donnamaher.com/free_tutorial.html

And by Saturday my brand-new ezine list will be up on the very first ezine domain I ever bought for myself at http://InspiraSeed.com and it will replace the one that I allowed to ‘fall by the wayside’ so very long ago.

Today I will get busy creating an awesome freebie and creating some super-dandy content for the subscribers!

Thank you soooooooo much for this opportunity to not only win a nice prize but to be able to help others in the process. It’s been a fun challenge… and I’m heading in the right direction for the first time in many moons. :-)

    Bless you,
    Donna

  14. Hi Marlon,

You don’t have to publish this, but it’s the quickest way I could think of to prove my intent before midnight…

With computer problems and other challenges, I didn’t quite make my goal and I’m so exhausted tonight I can’t go on… but I did get new graphics done, the index page, the subscription box ready to go (I thought) with the first issue ready to deliver but now the captcha box is acting up and the guy that can fix it is across the ocean asleep right now… I will try to get the rest of the job done tomorrow… here’s the new index page but it can’t go live yet without a working sub box :-(
    http://inspiraseed.com/inspira-index.html

    I tried sooooooooo hard…… hope you’ve had a better week. :)

    Donna

  15. Dear Marlon,

And you are a DEAR person! Thank you so very very much for getting me off my ‘Pro Crasti Wagon’ and into action… and for letting me be the winner of the challenge.

Finally, the bonuses are on the signup page, and on the web for download, the sign up box works without the captcha but not with it, so it’s working. My web guy broke my page trying to fix it so I fixed it myself after a few tears and some choice language not befitting a lady.

Usually I’m a pretty patient, diligent worker, but when I’ve spent literally days worth of hours on a project and someone messes it up and I have more hours when I *was* down to minutes… oh dear!

Anyway… I’m so proud to announce my working ezine is at last online at http://InspiraSeed.com and you can discover a working subscription box along with three great ebook bonuses and your first issue in your inbox after you confirm.

Marlon… you made me turn myself into a winner and I will be grateful to you forever. You are an angel (I bet you hear that a lot).

    Thank you again,

    Donna

[Donna, if you haven't given Tim your email address for paypal post it on getyoursupport.com so i can send it to you.]

  16. Hey Marlon.

Is the webinar you did a few weeks back called ‘Niche Marketing the Easy Way’ available on your site anywhere?

Keep up the good work buddy!

    Thanks, Russ.
