Re: Stuck Point #1: Overwhelm

Hey,

Marlon here.

Did you post your sticking point on my blog? If you haven’t
done so, please do it.

One common stuck point posted is the issue of feeling overwhelmed.

I’ll tell you a story.

Yesterday I had an awesome conversation with my friend Daegan
Smith. His interview is in Promo Dashboard.

Daegan said that he realized he’d made MORE progress last year
if he’d bought a few less products and spent more time creating
and selling products!

Now, I’m in the business of selling products.

So it might seem odd to you that’d I’d tell you this story. But
some of you buy everything that comes along without regard to
your goals for the year.

MOST products sold online are different MODELS to get bux in
the door. Fair enough.

Bet let me simplify this.

You find demand, create products, sell products.

The hardest part of those 3 steps is the selling. So spend 80%
of your FOCUS on the selling NOT the creating.

How much time did you spend last year SELLING?

You’ve GOT to find a way to blast through the things that are
holding you back from SELLING.

I’m considering doing a series of 4 teleseminars or webinars on
getting over all the stuck points people have posted on my blog.
I would divide this into 5 teleseminars covering different
topics with related stuck points. The pricing I’m considering
is $97 each or if you get 4 the fifth is free. So all five
would be $397. Or you could just get the one that addresses
your specific stuck point. I would do my best to cover all
the stuck points submitted on my blog.

If I offered this, would you want in? Would you want the
397 deal or just one at $97 that covers your specific stuck point.
Would you prefer a telseminar or webinar? And would you want it
in the day time or night time? Do you feel this would help you?

POST your RESPONSE in COMMENTS at the end of this post.

I know you’ll spend $500, $1,000 or more on new products that
sound sexy and exciting. And I don’t blame you. Learning is fun.
Doing is a challenge. The question is, will you spend $500 to
overcome your stuck points? I need to know…..
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

What I heard from you on my blog is that things like technical
issues, problems getting a web developer to finish yoru site,
lack of focus, problems creating the product or choosing the
target market are stopping you from SELLING!

And the sale process is where you have to focus 80% of your time
and energy. Getting the traffic and sending out emails to get
sales, doing teleseminars and so forth.

Here is my advice:

Put a piece of paper up in front of your face by your computer
or on the mirror in the bathroom. List your STUCK POINT and 5
things you can do to fix it.

Five steps you can take in the next 21 days.

The FIRST thing every morning, I want you to take ONE ACTION to
overcome your stuck point.

==> Do this every day for the next 21 days.

And do it FIRST before other things get in your way.

If you don’t have ANY idea what to do to overcome your stuck
point, read through all the posts on my blog where I’ve
personally responded to people.

Feel free to post if I haven’t responded to your specific stuck
point and I’ll give you some quick feedback.

Just post in COMMENTS at the end of this post.

Best wishes,

Marlon Sanders

PS: Please read the advertisement above and respond on my blog
either yes or no and why.

  1. You're the best on the net marlon. Saw you first at Wembley, England, some years ago. But despite all my efforts I'm stuck and can't make much progress. I'm too busy trying to make a living to actually market. Great work. Thanks.

[Hi Ronnie, well what are you trying to make progress on that you are stuck on? Step one is really getting traffic. So the question is if you're getting traffic to your sites? In terms of conversions Ronnie, you need to go to http://www.totalhealthbreakthroughs.com and get on their email list. Study their web pages and sales letters. THAT is what yours needs to look like and sound like. You are shooting a little blind on these pages. You aren't modeling a highly successful model. Your copy and your web design both need substantial upgrades. You do that by studying sites you know are working.]

  2. Marlon,

Thanks for a great "A" Team call today. You helped us all a lot I know. Especially with my sticking point regarding getting started with my Niche. I don't know what happened though. The call just got dropped and I couldn't get back in. Oh well, looking forward to the next call.

    Thanks again,

    TRM.

[Todd, about how far in did you get dropped? Weird. You will get the recording. I've got to change services. Marlon]

  3. patience and focus comes to my mind

[Hey Everton, yep, focus is important. That requires having a model you're really crystal about. Marlon]

  4. Talk about information overload! I've got two websites I've had for about a year to back up two physical products we sell offline but the web sites sell zip, nothing. They look OK but the sell factor is rubbish.

I've recently found a bunch of keyword phrases via wordtracker that have KEI's between 10,000 and 60,000 (not a typo)with competition between 0 and 200 but can't work out what to sell them lol so yeah, you could say I need help!

[Hey, on your 2 web sites, the main thing is to get email addresses then send emails. On the keywords, if they aren't related to your core business, I'm not sure I'd get distracted. If they ARE related then get a squeeze page up and test the traffic.]

  5. My sticking points are the same as everyone else's-no focus, where to start, what next, etc.

But I learn best in a classroom setting, I'm old school, and even though some training on the market is outstanding I find that I don't grasp the material as well as if I were in a traditional school environment. That goes for any online learning, not just IM.

I also prefer daytime for teleseminars/webinars as I work nights, 6 nights a week. How about a day class & a night class

[Hey Robert, daytime works for me too. I've thought about doing something in person but haven't yet. Anyone else feel like Robert? Marlon]

  6. I Just want Ask, How about No Credit Card,Newbie in Internet and Just have website in empty with small Capacity 50MB,but I want be Success like you Marlon Sanders

[Hi, if you don't have the ability to take credit cards, sign up with Paypal or 2checkout.com. That is what they do. You can also sell your products via Clickbank. Good luck to you. Marlon]

  7. My biggest issue is getting other people to deliver on what they say they are going to do, when they say they are going to do it.

[Hi Paul, do you install incentives for on time completion? This works for independent contractors. For employees you need an incentive program also. Marlon]

  8. I'd like to choose the teleseminar with my sticking point(s). Can be teleseminar or webinar…I like the daytime calls. My time is not my own after 3 pm. I overwhelm myself just thinking about which product to promote first. My 23K hard drive is awash with possibilities. To avoid having to choose, I'm currently populating my new blog and it will have a list of my recommended products including yours, of course.

Thanks for all you do for us,

    Nancy

[Hi Nancy, make out a LIST of all the products you could sell. Then rank them on the ease to finish them and back end potential and how easy you think they will be to sell. Tally em up and see what wins. Speed to finish is a big consideration. But how well they'll sell and back end should be considered. Marlon]

  9. I just can't seem to get going. I guess not knowing where to start. And the real problem is that I'm on every mailing list and have joined about everyones program and still haven't gotten anywhere!!!

    Help.

[Todd, start with picking a niche and building your ezine list. Begin with even a small list and start writing an ezine 1X to 3X per week. Then, sell affiliate products in your ezine just like I do. Then start creating your own audio products by interviewing people. Productdashboard teaches you how to do that. Marlon]

  10. Yes, I'd like teleseminars or webinars (don't care which) on my stuck points: overwhelm and losing focus. Prefer daytime. Thanks Marlon.

[Hey MaryJo, thanks. I like daytime also but want to try to accommodate the most people. Marlon]

  11. Losing focus. Start work on updating current website pages, check email, back to work on website, decide to put up a new page, phone rings, back to work on updating website, oh here's an idea for blog, but I forgot to send out my article but first check email again!

[Hey, block out chunks of time where you ONLY work on one thing instead of multi-tasking. Try to have a 1-track mind…sequentially! See if that works for you. Block out chunks of 15 min. to 1 hour tasks where you will ONLY work on that. Only check email 2X per day.]
