Go there today to see what all the cool stuff looks like that I'm
showing you how to add today.

PPS:  Other marketers TEACH one thing while they DO another.

So they USE trick video to SELL you but then teach you other
methods.  They DO one thing and TEACH another.

I TEACH what I DO — even when it's CLEARLY in my self disinterest
to do so.  I speak out and mention FORBIDDEN words like “work.”

I have the GUTS to stand up and tell people they need to produce
something and this is how money is really made.  This causes
some people to NOT buy because they want “the dream.” They want
to push a button and have money magically appear.

I am the lone voice in the wilderness.

I teach the road less taken.

I am the narrow road to succes.

This is who I am and what I do.

If you don't like it or can't deal with it, happy dreams.

C. “How to host your videos for 15 cents (.15 USD) per month”
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
You're going to see video used more and more for marketing.

The year Youtube sold for a billion dollars was
the SAME year I predicted in the December before
that the following year would be the year of video.

Now I predict that video will become an ever-
increasing part of online marketing.

Why?

Because the younger generations that are quickly
gaining purchasing power are used to it.

Gen X'ers are now 27 and 28 years old.  They grew
up on video games.

They're used to video.

In addition, Amazon Aws is a game changer.

In the old days, you had to pay massive hosting fees
or you had to host video on a dedicated server like
I used to.

That caused some problems with larger numbers of
people watching the video at the same time.  That
problem has been ERASED by the advent of Amazon Aws.

Most people haven't figured out how to use it yet.
But they will.

For example, I had to do a lot of research to figure
out HOW to use a player to play Amazon Aws video so
I didn't have to pay $30 a month for a service that did it for me.

I DID figure that out. But it wasn't easy.  Anyway,
video now streams like a champ.  In fact, I'm shocked
at how well video plays online.

One of my mentors actually dumped TV because now they
just watch all their TV shows on hulu.com.  I go
there to watch Japanese Anime and love it.

You can also watch sporting events online instead of
on TV and they look great!  Just as good as on TV.

It's a NEW DAY as far as video is concerned.  This  isn't two years ago!

Fact is, 14-year-olds on Youtube are making their OWN
videos that look pro and would absolutely blow you
away.  Combine THAT fact with this….

========================
How to host your videos for 15 cents (.15 USD)  per month
========================

Here are the Amazon Aws prices:

$0.150 per GB for the first 50 TB / month of storage used

What that means is you pay .15 cents USD for every
Terrabyte of video you put on their server each
month.  My 10-15 minute videos are around 50 megabytes.
So I can put TWENTY videos on there for .15 a month.

It gets CHEAPER after that.

*  $0.100 per GB / all data transfer in

* $0.170 per GB / first 10 TB / month data transfer out

Basically, that means you pay 17 cents (.17 USD) for
every Gigabyte (1,000 megabytes) of bandwidth used.
So if you have a 50 megabyte video and 100 people
watch it, that's 5,000 megabytes or 5 gig.

Your fee is 5 x .17 or 85 CENTS!  (.85 USD).

Add the 15 cents storage to the 85 pennies and you
got a BUCK ($1.00 USD) for your fees that month.

THIS is why I was so freaking excited about doing
week 3 of my Produce/Promote class where I'm showing
people HOW to do the video and take advantage of this
huge breakthrough.

And make no mistake, even though your guru of choice
other than me has been USING this service but NOT
talking about it nor teaching you HOW they do what
they do, it IS huge.

Look at those videos you watch that cause you to buy,
join the list, and so forth.

They pay around a buck for every 100 people who
watch that video. And if you look at the url it's
streaming from, you'll see it's Amazon Aws.

That fancy lighting equipment used for those videos
isn't as  expensive  as it looks.  And you can even
use El Cheapo work  lights if you know what you're doing.

=================================
Here are a few ways to use video:
=================================

*  Video testimonials are smoking hot
*  Video introductions to your sales letter can work
*  I use video squeeze pages with success
*  Email to video is going to be used more an more.

So you send an email that gets people to watch a
short video.  Keep your videos under 10 minutes.

This is a hard-to-follow rule and I usually break it
but WHY do you think Youtube has a 10 minute limit?

*  Video sales presentations work great

While text sales letters still outpull video, video is
faster and appeals to a younger demographic.

LEt me get you up-to-speed on what to look for in a
video editing software and some of the

1.  How to fade in and fade out of a scene

Some programs like Sony Vegas make this easy.
You grab a little handle on the video, drag it
and you have a fade in or fade out.

Other programs like Pinnacle I found this to be
less attractive.  Maybe it's just me but I don't
like the way the fade in and out features on
Pinnacle work.

The program I use really rocks in this aspect.

2.  How to create text effects

The program I use has one limitation. The text
effects aren't as high quality as other programs.

This means you have to use a plugin and good titling
programs are $500 or more.

There's one AWESOME program called Wildform FX.
The problem with it is you have to use an OLD version
of Quicktime Pro.

So if you have a computer that's old as the hills,
you might be able to use this program!  Or you can
uninstall Quicktime and revert to version 6.5.  But
this might have a negative impact on other programs.

One GREAT thing about Pinnacle is it comes with bonus
plugin software that has awesome titling effects.  I'm
just not real keen on how other aspects of Pinnacle
work.

3.  Transitions

The thing about transitions is they're cool and fun.
They also tend to be something NOT used by pros.

Still, I like to use them because they're so much
darned fun.

But yeah, if you watch movies, you'll see they use
straight cuts to go from one scene to the next.
They don't even typically fade in and out.

3.  Green screen abilities

A whole lot of the fun stuff you can do is made
possible by compositing with green screens.

That means you shoot video against a green screen and
then replace the green part with a photo or other
video footage.

A lot of your big movies nowadays use green screen.

The SECRET of great green screens is lighting the
green screen evenly.

I've seen people do good green screen using cheapo
fabric from the store or green poster board stuck
on a wall.

The lighting is much more important than the fabric.
Some people set up a little studio in their garage
and use “work lights” to light the green screen.

It's amazing what you can do on the cheap if you have
ingenuity.

What DOES separate software programs is their versatility
in adjusting green screen.

Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro or Sony Vegas Pro are going
to excel at this vs. lower end programs.

Still, it's stunning what you can do with a software
program that costs under $100.

4.  Lower thirds

You know how on news shows you see this little
transparent block zip on the screen with text in it
giving the name of the news anchor and their position?

Those little blocks are called lower thirds.  They're
always transparent.  You'll see them a lot on sporting
events also.

Some programs have really nice lower thirds built into
them.  Some don't.

If they don't, you have to buy them from a third party
vendor like Digital Juice or whip them up on your own.

5.  Motion backgrounds

Some programs come with motion backgrounds you can drop
in for a title or in place of your green screen.  Others
don't.

It's nice to have some of these. Otherwise, you're off
to Digital Juice or other web sites again to buy stuff.

Your higher end programs like Sony Vegas Pro don't seem
to come with as many pre-packaged effects as some lower
end programs.

6.  Masking abilities

Adobe Premier has awesome masking abilities.

So you can take your video and mask out the outline of
your body.  Then put in funky colors and make it look
like you're getting beamed up like on Startrek.

How cool is that?

The problem with Adobe Premier is it has a large learning
curve.  But if you're serious about video, it is one of
the tools pros use.

Having said that, lower end programs do have masking
abilities and it's surprising what you can do with them.

7.   Support

Your lower end programs won't offer much in the way of
support.  So you'll need to look for user groups that
support them.

This is where your higher end programs excel. There's
more support, more user groups, more plugins, more
resources.

More of everything.

But you'll need that support because there's more of a
learning curve.

=============
How to Choose
=============

First of all, just to save you the posting time, I'm
revealing my software to the people in the Produce
Promote class. The reason is my know how has value
and there are certain aspects of knowledge I choose to sell.

Now, in general, the main criteria are as follows:

1.  How fast a learner are you?

If you're not tech savvy, go for a simple, low-end
program.  Max out its abilities.  Then look at a step up.

2.  Are you tech savvy?

If you're tech savvy, you can easily handle a Vegas,
Premier or Final Cut.

3.  What's your budget?

If you're on a skinny rabbit budget, go low end.

4.  How professional do you want to look?

The more expensive programs have better titling
effects, and better masking and green screen abilities.

But listen, using just a cheapo green screen and
work lights, you CAN do mind blowing video using an
El Cheapo program.

A lot comes down to how resourceful or you are or choose to be.

Video IS the future because the Gen X'ers are growing
up.  Youtube has changed everything and Amazon Aws makes
it 100% viable to serve up video inexpensively.
